Rakettitiede has been involved right from the start in developing a light version of Finago's popular financial management software Procountor, the mobile Procountor Mini.
Pocketable financial management solution
Finago's financial management software is in use in over 2,500 accounting firms in the Nordic countries such as Finland, Norway, Sweden and Denmark. Finago's main product, Procountor Financials, is Finland’s leading piece of software for electronic financial management.
Wanting to make entrepreneurs’ daily financial management smooth beyond the office, the company wished to develop a light version, Procountor Mini (later Mini), for iOS and Android. Mini has quickly come to be known as the pocketable financial management solution.
Enter travel and expense invoices effortlessly in the accounts
The idea wasn’t to include all of Procountor's features in Procountor Mini but to select those functions that were crucial for business users. For example, Mini can be used to create new travel invoices already during the trip, and daily expense invoices can be sent directly to Procountor for processing and it can be done from anywhere in the world.
The application was built using the existing Procountor API, whose functionalities were expanded as needed. The development work is carried out in close cooperation with the UX designers.
Previously, Finago has largely relied on Java-based solutions. Due to Mini project, the client has also gained experience in JS frontend frameworks and their suitability for electronic financial management.
